Good morning

Good morning to all of you in the East Coast. It is Sunday for me and Saturday night for you all. I spent my first night at Xia house. He lives on the 18th floor in a very small but cute condo. My room is very nice. The building would be similar to those that I have shared with you. There are no homes here as we think of them where we live. My wake up call is from a rooster that resides in the neighborhood. I really love it, because it reminds me of living on a farm. I slept well last night, because I was exhausted. During this trip there is little down time. You start everyday at 8:30 and return 12 hours later. I certainly am not complaining. We all have the belief, we may only ever do this once in a lifetime, so take advantage of each moment. I wonder how my American Friends are doing since we were all were separated to our host families yesterday. I know when I see them on Friday at the airport, it will be nice to see them. We have certainly bonded well. They say laughter is great medicine.......well we have the meds for sure. I am going to watch the masters on TV after I let you all know about my life in China. This blog for me is exciting. I once again give thanks to Barb Davis for setting it up and each time I blog I cannot help to think of my friend and colleague Bob Boltz from ELCO. He encouraged me to blog many years ago. I am sorry Bob it has taken me so long.......but then again, I am a SKIPPY. Enough for now, I am going to leave my room and chat with Xia ...... You may ask how that will be done without the two interpreters at my side? I have downloaded google translate on my phone...... And for those of you who really know me.......talking has never been an issue!!!! Lol
Take care my friends, and look around and enjoy what you have...... We are blessed! Skippy
